A first lap crash at the Seattle round of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship for Australian Chad Reed has resulted in season-ending injuries for the JGR Factory Suzuki Rider.
“Yesterday was fun. Finally a halfway technical track . The whoops were so freaking awesome loved every pass.” Said Reed, “Unfortunately a mistake in the main was costly 8 broken ribs, broken scapula and a collapsed lung.”
“I’m bummed my year comes to an end with 5 to go Thanks Dan Truman and Ben Schiermeyer (for) staying with me. Thinking of everyone involved – I’ll be back!!” Finished Reed.
Reed was sitting 7th in the points before the crash and had spoken on Supercross Live that he was in contract negotiations for 2020. Let’s hope he’s back on the start line in the same great form he has shown in 2019.
