Ruben Chadwick has kicked off the 2025 Australian Hard Enduro Championship with an impressive victory at the gruelling Kosciuszko Killer, conquering round one aboard his Beta RR 300 Race. Battling some of the harshest conditions the event has seen, Chadwick pushed through to take the top spot over a demanding two-day format.

Ruben’s bike skills are killer!

“Conditions were super dry – which is the opposite of what I have at home at the moment – so it took a while to adjust,” Chadwick said after the race. “It was brutal bull dust with sharp, shaley rock. I struggled in Saturday’s race with a bad start and had to push to make passes, which was tough without being able to see in the dust. I managed to make it up to third by the end of the fifty-minute race.”

Despite a challenging first day, the Queensland-based rider returned on Sunday with renewed focus and determination. “Sunday felt more comfortable,” he said. “I swapped positions for the lead a few times throughout the race. It was a brutal five hours in the dust, but I’m stoked to come away with the win.”

The Kosciuszko Killer lived up to its name, with extreme dry conditions and technical terrain testing both riders and machines. Chadwick’s performance puts him in a strong position heading into the remainder of the championship season.
