Chad Reed’s sickening crash at the Seattle round of the AMA Supercross Championship looked to end the veterans 2019 campaign. An Instagram post from his hospital bed proved Chad’s motivation to return for the final round in Las Vegas.
JGRXMX Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing’s Jeremy Albrecht has given an update on Reed’s condition.
“Chad is wearing a sling for his broken scapula, but that’s really more for prevention than anything. His eight broken ribs are healing nicely and don’t seem to bother him too much. He’s still blowing into the breathing tester after his collapsed lung. Chad still plans on racing Las Vegas, but that remains to be seen until more time has passed.”
Although a return for Reed seems super-human, if anyone can be back behind the gates before long, it’s the #22.
