Wilson Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki’s Kyle Peters is preparing to head to Nowra for the sixth instalment of the Motul MX Nationals on Sunday, with one goal, to get his championship back on track.
American Peters spent the majority of the mid-season break back home in the United States at Club MX, where intense training prepared him for the final five round dash to the finish line, and will be hoping to put his refined skills to good use when the series resumes this weekend.
Peters today shared that he’s optimistic that after a difficult first five rounds of the Australian championship that he can turn things around, and won’t be settling for anything less than wins from here on out.
“The mid-season break was really good for me. It gave me the chance to go home and reset – I wasn’t in the greatest headspace before I left, I was feeling negative and unhappy but to go home and do some training and relax, I’m feeling like a new person,” Peters shared.
“I’ve come back a lot happier, and a lot more positive. The first half of the season is over so I’m putting it behind me and just focussing on being better for the second half.
“I’m really looking to break through during the last five rounds, and for me, I’m going out there every weekend to win starting at Nowra this weekend.”
The 2017 Motul MX Nationals will continue with round six set to be contested at Nowra in New South Wales on Sunday, July 2. Visit www.mxnationals.com.au for further information on the series.
