James Stewart finished his first 450SX main of the year last weekend and was finally on the road to recovery after concussion affected the start to his season. Fast forward to Daytona and once again Stewart found himself in the dirt after a heat race crash in the whoops.
It has been a sore sight for fans and no doubt the Yoshimura Suzuki team who have released the following statement since the weekend.
“He was checked out in at the track’s medical facility and it was discovered he’d suffered deep bruising to his lower back. Stewart hopes to be racing in Toronto next Saturday, but at this point the team says it’s too early to tell.”
It has been a horrid 2016 for the legend who was aiming to come back with a bang after serving a 12 month doping suspension.
