A crash at Wayville showgrounds has continued to affect NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Dylan Long leaving him no option but to end his supercross series.

Managing to only finish one of three rounds Long had a troublesome start to the season with crashes and mistakes leaving him down the bottom half of the championship standings. After hitting his head during a crash at Wayville, Long has been suffering symptoms of concussion, and has opted to rest up with a new goal of being fit and healthy for the 2016 season.
“Due to the crash I had at Wayville I will not be racing the rest of the Supercross this year, it sucks but I’m not 100% yet and there’s no point racing supercross when your not 100%, can only end up in more injury!” Long posted on Facebook today.
“Unfortunately that means I don’t get to ride underneath the Kawasaki Australia MX Racing Team truck again! I can’t thank Troy Carroll, Michael Marty & the rest of the team enough for all there help and the awesome opportunity!
“Now onto a new stage for next year,” Long added.
“Thanks to everyone who supported me this year it’s amazing to have people like you behind me but will be back next year fitter and stronger!”
Long’s 2016 future is still unclear however with Matt Moss signing for NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki, it is strongly reported that he will link up with Jay Wilson for a new look Honda Australia team.
