In the second GP raced in Sevlievo Bulgaria, ICE1RACING’s Dean Ferris took the first GP points of the season.
“Dean’s riding was smart today, he rode on his level considering his recovery from the injury. I am satisfied with his performance this weekend”, complimented the team manager Kari Tiainen.
The moto was won by Christophe Pourcel (Kawasaki), second was Gautier Paulin (Kawasaki) and third was Clement Desalle (Suzuki). Tiainen finished 25th.
“I came to the race without any expectations, so I am satisfied with the clean motos I was able to ride”, commented Ferris.
“The lack of arm pump in the second moto gave me better chances to keep up with the speed. The battle of the places 10 to 15 was fierce today, next weekend I want to be a part of that battle”, continued Ferris.
For the Finnish rider Santtu Tiainen the race was demanding. “The track became really hard and many riders weren’t able to finish due to crashes, so in that extent I am happy that I was able to do clean motos. But the track was so difficult and the speed was so fast that the motivation to train in order to close the gab is now really big.”
Tiainen finished 23rd in the second moto. The second moto was won by Gautier Paulin (Kawasaki), second was Christophe Pourcel (Kawasaki) and third was Antonio Cairoli (KTM).
The third GP will be raced in one week April 29th in Fermo, Italy.
