The Monster Energy CLS Junior Team Green rider comfortably won his qualification group before leading start to finish in moto one, capturing victory by 15 seconds.
The second moto saw Lawrence hold down second place for the opening laps in a tight battle with teammate Darian Sanayei. The Aussie then put his head down made the pass and stretched forward to take another commanding win, 10 seconds ahead of Sanayei.
“I felt good all weekend long on this track,” said Lawrence. “I had a good qualifying session and got a good start in both races. In the first one on Saturday I wasn’t pushing too much during the opening laps, just doing my things and got a win.
“Today I had a good battle with Darian, when I was following him I was taking some rocks on my body, but I finally passed him and pulled away. It was a good weekend. I want to thank all my crew and the team – it’s good to reward them for all the hard work they’ve done.”
The amazing result now places Lawrence second overall in the 2016 EMX250 championship standings, 12 points behind leader Thomas Kjer Olsen.
