Australian media and motorsports celebrity Grant Denyer is one of the busiest blokes in show business. So, he doesn’t often get the opportunity to ride dirt bikes. Which is a source of disappointment because off-road riding is one of the Gold Logie winner’s greatest passions.
That’s all set to change now Yamaha ambassador Denyer and good mate Adrian Christie have collected a pair of WR250Rs from YMA’s headquarters in Wetherill Park. The bikes are now heading up to Ride ADV’s Dural workshop to be kitted out for local bush conditions.
Denyer and Christie plan to ride some of the tighter trails around the Orange/Bathurst area of NSW – and eventually tackle a Simpson desert crossing. “We’d heard nothing but good things about these bikes, and when I got on one I was surprised at how well it rides,” explains Denyer. “I love the concept of a lightweight adventure bike – something that you can just have a heap of fun on with the versatility to tackle open trails as well as tight terrain,” he continues.
Denyer looks forward to joining fellow Yamaha riders on future adventures – when his busy schedule allows.
