WHO TO WATCH FOR?
SX1 – Jason Anderson was on fire in New Zealand for the NZ SX Open. Look for him to continue his winning ways. The championship is coming down to the wire. Luke Clout, #4 on the CDR Monster Energy Yamaha leads by a single point of Penrite Honda’s Justin Brayton, while CDR Monster Energy Yamaha rider Dan Reardon sits only 9 points behind in third. With the triple crown format offering three changes for first turn incidents and bad starts, this event is going to be very exciting. Josh Hill is another CDR Monster Energy Yamaha Team rider who has been featuring up front regular. How about Joey Savatgy? The JGR Suzuki Rider will be looking to improve on his New Zealand Performance. Also, look for Brett Metcalfe to shake things up on his Penrite Honda, Metty was on fire in NZ.
SX2 – The SX2 class is also coming down to the wire with a three-way dog fight for the championship. American Josh Osby and his Raceline KTM are the drivers seat with a slim lead of fellow American Chris Blose and Aussie Serco Yamaha’s Aaron Tanti. Tanti has shown to be aggressive and determined to win this championship – look for the number-18 to fight to the end to claim his maiden title against the visiting American riders.
