KTM’s Daniel Milner stands as one of Australia’s greats, adding fifth A4DE overall victory in Cessnock to an already impressive resume. The Victorian dominated the event aboard his KTM 500 EXC-F, leading all four days in both the Outright standings and his respective E3 division, ultimately resulting in his maiden A4DE crown in the category.
Crossing the line with over a 1 minute advantage over runner-up Daniel Sanders, Milner was essentially untouchable throughout this year’s edition, clocking up the greater portion of test victories on offer.
Daniel Milner – KTM 500 EXC-F: “I’m pretty stoked, that’s for sure. The last A4DE I did, didn’t go as well to plan, so to be able to rack up my fifth A4DE win out here in Cessnock is a pretty big deal for me because it’s the 40th anniversary and there are a lot of legends here. It’s also my first A4DE win on a KTM and in E3. It was definitely difficult out there, it was probably one of the most difficult A4DEs I’ve done in years. For what we were riding, my 500 EXC-F was handling unreal – the bike and I gelled really good.”
Glenn Kearney – Motorsport Manager, KTM Australia: “It was an impressive performance. He made a few changes to his suspension coming into this event following the first AORC, and obviously, they were the right ones. He’s really happy with the bike, and it showed in the times – he won the majority of the tests, and the only one the challenge for him was Chucky. (Daniel Sanders)”
