One of our all-time favourite races – the 1989 Paris-Bercy Supercross. It’s got an all-time epic line-up of amazing riders including Jeff Matiasevich, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Stanton, Mike Kiedrowski, Larry Ward, Jean-Michel Bayle, Damon Bradshaw and Australia’s Jeff Leisk.
The race features one of the most brutal collisions of all time when Bradshaw centre-punched Matiasevich, Stanton has a massive off and a 25 year-old Leisky fights off an in-form and super motivated Johnson in a battle that goes down to the very last corner. We’ve watched this race so often – the track is brutal, the number of legends behind the gate is astonishing and the race never has a dull moment.
