Chad Reed’s horrific crash at the 12th round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship resulted in multiple injuries for the Australian legend. 8 broken ribs, a broken scapula, a punctured lung as well as some vertebrae injuries left Chad in hospital. Reed has surprised fans with a post on social media aiming for another appearance before seasons end.
“Tried checking myself outta here yesterday buttttt fainted going from bed to wheelchair. Liking my chances better today” , Reed posted on his Instagram.
“Thanks for all the love, I love having a purpose and a goal, tho it seems impossible right now I’m setting a goal of racing Vegas because I know I’ll be a better human for it. 6 weeks. ” finished the post.
If Chad did manage to line up at Las Vegas for the final round, it would mark his 250th AMA Supercross start and he has previously said that contract negotiations are underway for 2020.
