Australian legend Chad Reed had just started to hit his stripes in 2020. Solid results aboard his Mountain Motorsports Honda CRF450R started to flow as his body healed. Until Covid-19 hit.
Reed had stated that the tail-end of 2020 was focused on his car racing commitments once his “One Last Ride” tour completed. However, he has since hinted on social media that we will indeed see Chad back racing as he plans to finish his retirement tour.
This all depends on the 2020 AMA Supercross calendar and timeline for events to once again commence. Feld Entertainment have announced that they will hold rounds 11-17 later in the year. Could he be back for select races in 2021?
For now, his race bikes have been listed as for sale and the Reed family went shopping. Chad’s choice? The 2020 KTM250SX. How rad would it be to see him line up at some AMA Supercross events on a two-stroke and a KTM, the only manufacturer he never raced for.
