Dean Ferris claimed top spot on the podium scoring a 3-1-1 result to extend his overall championship points lead. In second place Suzuki’s Todd Waters finished 1-2-2 leading home New Zealand hopefully Cody Cooper (2-3-3) in third.
The trio were the standout performers for the round and so far the championship as the Trans Tasman rivalry continues. The victory hands Ferris a 14 point lead in standings with Waters jumping Cooper into second.
The MX2 division was won by New Zealand’s Hamish Harwood, also extending his overall championship lead in the process. In second place Australia’s Jed Beaton scored a 4-1-2 result ahead of Ethan Martens in third.
Beaton will look to reduce Harwood’s 12 point lead as round three of the championship kicks off in two weeks at Rotorua Motorcycle Club.
