Matt Moss will tackle the 450cc duties alongside Tomac, while Yamalube Yamaha riders Ryder Kingsford and Kaleb Barham will fly the flag for the team in the 250cc division. The chance to race the WSX series and be a part of a team that carries the experience of Tomac and Moss is a great opportunity for Kingsford and Barham, one the duo is looking forward to.

It also represents a solid working relationship between the Australian Yamaha teams that saw CDR Yamaha and Yamalube Yamaha collaborate on building the race bikes and developing the motor and suspension for the riders in the upcoming championships. “The last month has been a busy time as we prepare for the upcoming events, and I’m proud to be able to give Ryder, Kaleb and Matt a chance to race at a higher level. I am sure they will do a great job,” explains Craig Dack.

“It will be a great experience for them to race in new countries, against different riders and with a class depth deeper than in Australia. I’m sure they will be better riders because of it. “Testing has gone well, and working with the Yamalube team has been easy. We are looking forward to getting the championship under way in Canada in October,” he ends.

ASX Ready to Roar

The revival of the Australian Supercross Championship continues to grow momentum, and we are less than two weeks away from the opening weekend of the championship getting under way at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe. With Saturday Night already sold out, a second show on Sunday was added and will make for a massive start to the supercross championship.

Yamaha will have over 100 staff attending the opening event and then even more at the Wollongong round to support the riders and teams. With five rounds in quality venues and the finale being the Internationally known, AUS-X Open, the championship is bound to take another step in the right direction. Yamaha will have a huge presence at these rounds with plenty of riders on track, from our professional race teams to our junior stars and support riders. Add to that, the YZ65 Cup at Wollongong and Melbourne, Cooper Webb jetting in for the weekend at Marvel plus a whole heap more, the bLU cRU will be out in full force.
