Adam Monea continues to push in a successful debut year with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team. The true grit of this rider showed in moto 1; after a big first turn crash, Monea fought back through the pack to finish in 12th position.
Monea brought out the big moves for Moto 2 and threw down a fast lap of 1:46.047. Monea set up a sweeping move on Mackenzie to steal position 2 and hold it to the finish. Adam Monea finished the round 5th overall and after round 6 Adam Monea is in 7th place in the series.
The mid-season break has seen Jay Marmont return fresh and strong for the second half of the MX Nationals season. Jay put in two solid motos with some fast battles in both races to come away with 5-7 for 7th overall in the round.
This was a great race for Marmont in front of the home crowd, fans & family. This is Jay’s best result in a while and bodes well for the next few rounds. The big picture now for Marmont is Supercross and he will continue to work hard to get back up to where this champion belongs. Marmont is currently in 10thposition in the series.

A lot of effort has been put in during the mid-season break to ensure both the riders and the bikes are well prepped for the coming rounds. Monster Energy Racing team is looking forward to improving further at Round 7 in Hervey Bay.”
The ride of the weekend was in MX2 from ZeroSeven Motorsports Kawasaki’s Kade Mosig. Returning from injury in an exceptional effort, Mosig put out a solid 3-2 for 3rd overall in the round. It was good to see Kade back on the podium. The whole team is working hard to score a few more rounds like this before the series ends. Mosig is currently 15th in the series.
The Appin round was a mixed bag for Kawasaki supported rider Jesse Dobson. The first moto producing a 10th place finish and the 2nd moto bringing a stunning 2nd place finish. Jesse narrowly missing out on a podium at Appin with a 4th place overall finish. Dobson is currently in 3rd position in the series.
The Queen of Geneva, Meghan Rutledge, is ramping up her efforts in preparation for the X-Games. The Kawasaki supported MXD rider had an 18-16 result for an overall round finish in 15th position. Rutledge is currently in 15th position in the series.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki Race Team and all supported riders are looking forward to great performances at the next round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals at Hervey Bay on 28th July 2013.
