Aussie rider Luke Clout has had his Mad Racing/Dirt Candy Suzuki contract extended for two years following an impressive showing at his Anaheim debut.

Clout was only called in to the team mid last week to cover for the injured Daniel Baker. With only a few days of testing under his belt Clout qualified for the main, finishing 14th on the night.
The former Australian MX2 champion will be relishing the opportunity to race overseas, competing with some of the best 250 riders in the world. The team released a statement earlier today explaining how impressed they were with Luke and the confidence that they have in him as a rider.
“MAD Racing Dirt Candy Suzuki powered by Yoshimura is proud to announce the official signing of Luke Clout. After his breakthrough debut ride at Anaheim 2, Clout has earned himself a full-time spot on the team to compete for two years in the 250 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series and 250 Outdoor Nationals
“We are excited about having Luke [Clout] join the team. With his first week results we look forward to the rest of the West Coast 250SX and are working to get him completely comfortable on the RM-Z250,”
With his near future now locked in Clout will no doubt be looking to repay his team as he lines up in Oakland this weekend.
