Those that attended the recent Sunny Corner Rally (in particular the guy that won the WR450F!) would have noticed Yamaha’s presence and the introduction of the new bLU cRU initiative. Yamaha is aiming to bring incentives and contingencies under this new banner for everyone from the trailrider to the racer, casual to pro. Here’s a full explanation for the guys in blue…

Media Release:

Yamaha Motor Australia is pleased to announce a new customer initiative called bLU cRU. bLU cRU brings all Yamaha’s blue and white world activities such as racing, training and events to life under one umbrella. Web and social media will spread the word with the aim to keep customers for life by creating and satisfying aspirational needs. bLU cRU offers a unique experience for our customers covering all skill levels from recreational to the professional racer. Racing provides aspiration, but it’s the grassroots where our bLU cRU customers make their first steps into Blue and White World, and new riders are a major focus for the bLU cRU. bLU cRU has already appeared as a logo on our factory team riders, as a group of new riders in YMA’s bLU xMAS campaign and at Sunny Corner trail ride in the shape of a truck destined to travel the country to bring the message. bLU cRU is free to join – all you need is a Yamaha on or off-road sports bike – and goes live when the web and social media are turned on in due course. “We believe that building a bLU cRU community offers real value for our Blue and White World customers by offering a wide range of fun activities they can enjoy on their Yamahas,” says YMA Director and GM Steven Cotterell. “bLU cRU will maintain Yamaha’s strong position in the off road market segment, continue to grow road market share and reinforce the uniqueness of the tuning fork brand,” he adds.
