Trey Canard will miss the Washougal National following a practice crash earlier this week.

The Honda HRC rider suffered the fall while training at Robbie Reynard’s place. He has been evaluated since the crash and medical staff ruled out a return to the track this weekend. It has been a difficult few weeks for the rider, who only returned to racing last round after a four week layoff with a bulging disc.
“I’m extremely disappointed that I won’t be able to race again this weekend,” Canard explained. “I was practicing at Robbie Reynard’s place on Tuesday and had a pretty big crash that left me with a concussion. I’m grateful there weren’t more severe injuries, but still bummed I won’t be out there. I had a good weekend at Millville and was really hoping to build on that at Washougal. I’m going to do whatever I can to get back out there as soon as possible to finish the season off strong.”
Canard is expected to return at Unadilla on August 13th, but will be monitored until then.
