Matt Bisceglia was thrust into the premier class for the first time after being named a replacement rider for the Yoshimura Suzuki Factory team at Thunder Valley.

Bisceglia looked right at home on his RM-Z450 after filling in for team regulars James Stewart and Blake Baggett. After qualifying in 17th place, the rookie progressed as the day went on, scoring tenth in each moto to finish eighth overall for the round.
“I couldn’t be happier with my day,” Bisceglia said afterwards. “I came out and had some good practices and put it in 10th in both motos. I had to fight for both finishes. It was my first race on a 450 since my amateur days, so it was great to get eighth overall my first time out. I can’t thank the team enough for giving me this opportunity. It was a great weekend and one I’ll always remember.”
The stint is expected to be a one off for Bisceglia with both Stewart and Baggett set to return to the team following this weekend’s break in racing.
Round four of the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will take place at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, PA, on Saturday June 18th.
