I’d never heard of HZ goggles when these sweet new things from HZ showed up. I gave them a whirl on a super, super hot day at Pacific Park in the sand and subjected them to some serious sweat testing. The goggles themselves are quite large and allow a huge frame of vision through their thermo plastic polyurethane frame. The website claims over 180 degrees of vision and I’d believe it. HZ is a European brand and, nothing against Euro-styling, but some of the Euro brands have some horrid designs and styling; they’d be more suited to the Mardi Gras parade. But the HZs are seriously cool. They come in wicked colours and would be at home on the start line of the AMA Supercross. I’m a big fan of these goggles. — Matt Bernard
