And we are in Spain riding them!
Editor Damien Ashenhurst is currently carving through the Spanish trails on the 2020 KTM EXC range. After a mammoth trip to Europe, sampling the sights and sounds of Barcelona and an introduction to the new range, Damien has checked in with a quick update between loops.
“We’ve been out in the 350 EXC-F, 300 TPI and 450 EXC-F so far. The improvement in the overall balance of the bikes through chassis and suspension changes is clear and the way the revised TPI performs now is outstanding. Keen to get on the 150 TPI when we can. “
“The 12km loop is amazing with a special test to begin with and everything from open to single trail, a long and narrow river section and some good hills. Conditions are slippery in parts but excellent overall.
The 350 EXC-F with the FMF pipe is a magic combo by the way.”
So what’s new for 2020? A lot! New and more efficient yet high-performing engines, a re-developed chassis with improved WP XPLOR suspension, improved handling, new bodywork, new air filter box, new cooling system, and new exhaust systems. This, combined with the high-quality NEKEN handlebar, Brembo brakes, No-Dirt footpegs, and CNC milled hubs with Giant rims fitted as standard equipment.
Joining the KTM 150 EXC TPI, which is homologated for Euro 4, the KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI 2-strokes, as well as the KTM 250 EXC-F, KTM 350 EXC-F, KTM 450 EXC-F and KTM 500 EXC-F 4-strokes are the KTM Six Days and all new KTM 300 EXC TPI ERZBERGRODEO, limited to only 500 units.
