Our 2019 450 motocross shootout has been done and won. It was perhaps the closest year we’ve ever had in terms of picking a winner and but in the end there were two absolute standouts which you can read all about in DA issue 226 – coming soon.
We had some epic partners and test riders for this year’s shootout and a massive thanks goes to Dunlop for supplying our control tyre. Also a big thank you for coming on board goes to Thor, SEVEN, Fly Racing, Alpinestars, Oakley, Progrip, SIDI, M2R, SPY, and 6D. All the manufacturers, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, Kawasaki, Honda and Husqvarna. And a special thanks to the awesome Maitland Motocross Club for the use of the track for the second year running. Our riders put in amassive day and were still going when things were starting to be packed up. Mat McEntee, Mat Bernard, DanE Thompson and of course Craig Anderson and Danny Ham put in a ton of laps. It was epic to see Ando and Hammy on the track together again and even sharing a laugh after all these years. They can both still ride like demons, make no mistake, and they will put on a show at the AUS-X Open – it’s ridiculous how they still have the same styles they did in the 90s!
