2017 Finke Desert Race Champion and member of the 2016 Baja 1000 winning team, Daymon Stokie has been tragically killed during the Deep Well Enduro Race.
Last year, Stokie famously crossed the line as the first local racer to win the Finke Desert Race in 11 years, battling through the grueling event with a broken hand.
His death has shocked the off-road motorcycle community.
Despite desperate efforts from volunteer paramedics at the Deep Well event, Stokie’s injuries were too severe.
